Private Medical

We have partnered with what we believe to be the UK’s very best insurance provider.

The key features of our scheme are:
- Full outpatient cover, including outpatient consultations and consultant fees.
- Medical history is disregarded (i.e.: there are no treatment exclusions based on your previous medical history).
- Video consultations and 24-hour telephone access to our provider’s helpline.
- Comprehensive mental health support – from prevention and maintenance to early intervention and comprehensive treatment.
- Full Access to the Insurance provider Programme, where you will receive discounts and rewards on everything from healthy foods, to fitness trackers, gym memberships, and even discounted trips to Champneys health spa to help you rest and relax.

We also made sure to obtain affordable Private Medical Insurance for your spouse or partner and/or children, and the cost of this can be deducted from your salary in monthly instalments.

There is an excess payable of £250 which is only payable on your first claim in every cover year (1 Jan – 31 Dec). You can quickly and easily reclaim the excess paid through your Health Cash Plan, so you will not be out of pocket.

Annual Leave

You are entitled to 25 days annual leave in each calendar year. If you do not take your full entitlement in one year, you can carry forward up to 5 days of annual leave into the following year. 

If you need additional annual leave, we offer a holiday purchase scheme where you can buy up to 5 days of extra leave. It's simple, you exchange a day of holiday for a day of your salary (calculated as your annual salary divided by 260 - the number of working days in a year).

Pension

A pension is a tax efficient way of saving money for you to use later in life. 
Even if it feels like retirement is far away, starting early could allow you to make lower regular payments.
 
- Auto-enrolment: a Government scheme to encourage people to save for retirement. 
- 5% of your salary will be transferred into your pension every month. We’ll match your contribution with 5% from us. 
- You can choose to increase your contributions and if you contribute 7%, we’ll match that with a 7% contribution from us. 
- You will also receive tax relief from the Government. If you’re a basic rate taxpayer, for every £80 you save, the Government will top your pension up with £20. Higher or additional rate taxpayers will receive tax relief at their higher rate. 

You can also choose to opt out of the scheme, i.e. to not contribute to auto-enrolment.

Health Cash Plan

Our Health Cash Plan works perfectly alongside Private Medical Insurance as it allows you to reclaim the costs of your everyday healthcare treatments. 

You can benefit from a refund on dental appointments and eye care; complementary therapies such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic; and alternative therapies like reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and homeopathy. 

You will also receive discounted gym membership at over 3,000 health clubs in the UK. 

The claims process is very easy using the phone app or website. You will also have your own personal account where you can quickly see the amounts that you have left to claim.

Employee Assistance Program

The EAP is a completely confidential service we provide to all employees and family members through Health Assured. 

The programme gives you access to: 
- Unlimited access to a 24/7 telephone advice service. 
- Support and guidance with legal (incl. tenancy advice and family law), financial, medical, and consumer issues. 
- Telephone counselling. 
- Up to 6 face-to-face counselling sessions per person, per year. 

Nothing you discuss with the EAP provider is fed back to us and we encourage all of you to utilise this completely confidential service.

Income Protection

If you find yourself in a position where you’re unable to work, you should not need to worry about money.

You are automatically covered by our Group Income Protection Scheme, which offers you peace of mind by protecting a percentage of your salary if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury.

You will be covered for 75% of your salary, less the Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).

Life Assurance

You are automatically covered on our Life Assurance Scheme which pays out a lump sum to your nominated beneficiaries if you pass away whilst working for us. 

You have 4x salary cover and this is company paid at no cost to you. 

By filling in an Expression of Wish form, you are able to choose who you would like the pay out to be made to, so it’s important to make sure that this form is kept up to date.

Benefits Allowance

We will give you an allowance of £100 per month (£1200 per year) for you to put towards benefits. 

You can use this to pay towards additional holiday, to add your family members onto your private medical or health cash plans, to fund your travel to the office, or to put towards your pension. 

You do not need to do anything - we'll automatically add it to your payslip each month.

Maternity Leave

If you have completed more than 26 weeks of service, we'll give you up to 39 weeks paid leave: 
- 26 weeks at 100% of your base pay.
- 13 weeks at statutory maternity pay.
- Plus 13 weeks unpaid leave. 

If you’re in your first 26 weeks of service, you will receive statutory maternity leave.

Paternity Leave

If you have completed more than 26 weeks of service, you will receive 12 weeks fully paid Paternity Leave. 

New fathers also have the opportunity to take Shared Parental Leave, whereby the mother agrees to swap maternity leave with them, for up to 50 weeks after childbirth. 

If you're in your first 26 weeks of service, you will receive 2 weeks leave paid at either £151.20 or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) by law.
